Curiosity: the insatiable urge to know or learn about something new. It comes naturally, but it's also an essential cognitive skill, one that can benefit from instruction and encouragement. This session will explore the role curiosity plays in learning. What drives us to explore the unknown…to seek answers to questions? What are the rewards and benefits of these endeavors? And how do we—as parents, educators, policy makers, and child advocates—encourage curiosity and exploration in young children?
