Understanding Characters

  • What does the bear do in the story? What does the lion do?
  • Make a two-column chart with Bear and Lion as the headings.
  • Write or draw what each character does. What does this tell you about them?

Hands-On Activity: Design an Instrument

Family Support

Create an art gallery. Make a few pieces of artwork, such as a painting or sculpture. Invite others to contribute a piece as well. Display the artwork around the room. Make labels for each piece to tell who made the artwork and what it was made with.
