Designed for students who cannot or should not engage in oral reading tasks—such as those with speech or language disabilities, selective mutism, or English learners in early stages—the non-verbal assessment accommodation provides a fully keyboard-based assessment experience, no speaking required. Students complete grade-appropriate subtests in phonological/phonemic awareness, spelling, vocabulary, and reading comprehension (depending on grade level).
Supporting students who require additional time to complete assessments, as outlined in their IEP or district policy. Educators can easily extend time on applicable tasks, including Phoneme Segmentation, Phonological Deletion/Elision, Phoneme Substitution, Blending, Letter Naming, Letter Sounds, Spelling, Word Decoding, Nonsense Word Fluency, Vocabulary, and Reading Comprehension, by selecting a multiplier: 1.25x, 1.5x (default), or 1.75x.
