As the senior learning scientist within the applied learning sciences team at HMH, Michael provides guidance to ensure products are grounded in scientifically sound learning sciences principles. In addition to his background in education research through the Learning Sciences Research Institute at the University of Illinois Chicago, Michael also served his community as a Board of Education member for over 12 years. During his tenure, he served as Board President and chaired the district’s technology and curriculum committees. With a passion for translating research to practice, Michael leverages his experiences in education leadership and his expertise in learning sciences to serve HMH.
