If the cutoff date has passed, or if the room block is full, the hotel will offer the group rate based on availability.

Hotel Payments:

All room reservations require a valid credit card as a guarantee. Your card will be charged if you cancel after the cancellation deadline or if you fail to show up on your expected arrival date (please refer to the individual hotel policy).

If you will not be traveling with the credit card used to pay for your reservation, you must contact the hotel in advance obtain a credit card authorization form. This should be done prior to arrival to allow ample time for processing.

If your school/district intends to cover the room charges either by credit card or check, please contact the hotel directly to request a credit card authorization form or arrange for direct billing.

All hotels will require a credit card deposit at check-in to cover incidentals for the entire stay. Please note that some hotels may require a one-night room and tax deposit. To avoid potential cancellation, be sure to provide a credit card that can be used for this payment.

Registration for MSC 2026 includes:

Payment*

  • Payments online

    Credit Card: We accept payments online with all major credit cards. 

    Purchase order: You may secure your registration with a valid Purchase Order. For online registration you must upload a copy of your valid PO. A copy of your invoice will be included in your confirmation email. You must submit this to your accounts payable department or have provided a contact email for payment. We do not accept checks as a form of payment online.

  • Payments by mail

    (You must first register online with a valid PO)

    Check: You may mail in a check with your registration confirmation or PO for the full cost. Checks should be made payable to Center for Model Schools.

  • Deadlines and cancellations

    Cancellation of registration must be submitted in writing via email to msc@hmhco.com.

    April 1 – June 1, 2026:
    Cancellations in this window are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. You may send another person in your place with no penalty charge.

    June 1 – June 15, 2026:
    Cancellations in this window are subject to a $250 cancellation fee. You may send another person in your place with no penalty charge. No refunds for pre-conference or post-conference will be issued.

    After June 15, 2026:
    No refunds will be issued after this date. You may send another person in your place with no penalty charge. No refunds for pre-conference or meals.

    New registrations made after June 15 will have 2 weeks to cancel without penalty.

    Any no-shows will be charged the full registration rate.

    Substitution/Changes Policy: Substitution of a registered conference attendee by a business colleague/co-worker will be accepted. The request must be submitted in writing to MSC@hmhco.com. You must provide the name and email of the registered attendee and the new attendee as well as any change in registration selections or contact information.

*Registration, attendance, and participation in Model Schools Conference constitutes an agreement by the registrant to The Center for Model Schools' use and distribution of the registrant’s or attendee’s image and voice in photographs (both now and in the future) in any media including, without limitation, The Center for Model Schools and HMH  websites and print materials, videotapes, and/or audiotapes.
