Rosa Salinas

Rosa Salinas is a STEM Content Specialist with HMH and an educator with more than 25 years of experience as a classroom teacher, district science supervisor, and school administrator. She specializes in mathematics and science instruction, multilingual learner support, and professional learning for educators.

Rosa presents nationally on effective STEM instruction and has presented at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Annual Conference on topics including mathematical discourse, academic language acquisition, and multilingual learner success. Her current work centers on helping educators ensure that all students—especially multilingual learners—develop the language needed to think, communicate, and reason mathematically and scientifically. She is passionate about the intersection of content learning and language development and advocates for instructional practices that empower students to listen, speak, read, write, and make meaning within authentic mathematics and science experiences. Rosa works to empower educators with practical strategies that make rigorous STEM learning accessible to every student.
