Lisa Sims is a proud graduate of the University of North Texas. She has her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s in early childhood education—go Eagles! She has worked in education as a first-grade teacher in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District for 16 years and served as the team leader for 11 of those years. Lisa is passionate about helping novice teachers and has hosted numerous student teachers from different universities in her own classroom. In 2018, Lisa began teaching students English online through VIPKID and worked at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as a consultant. She loves sharing her teaching ideas and stories of what has been successful in classrooms.
