Kim Block is a recently retired public school teacher. She taught Pre-Kindergarten for 27 years in an urban-suburban school district outside New York City. The community was socially and economically diverse. Kim Block developed and integrated a yoga and mindfulness curriculum in her Pre-Kindergarten classroom. With her love and passion for early literacy, she coordinated and facilitated a school wide Pre-Kindergarten “parent driven” literacy program. In the next chapter of her life, Kim is enrolled in an 8 month long intensive yoga certification program. She also created and facilitated an ongoing Parent Literacy workshop at a local Public Library in Westchester County. Kim holds a BA in Psychology and an Ms Ed from Sarah Lawrence College.
