Dr. Kate Peila is a National Content Specialist at HMH, where she supports the implementation of instructional programs and professional learning resources in K–12 ELA classrooms across the country. She specializes in bridging the gap between theory and practice to ensure that instructional materials are accessible, relevant, and impactful for teachers and students.
Kate holds a Doctorate in Educational Technology from Boise State University, where her research centered on virtual professional learning for early-career teachers. With certifications in both elementary and special education, and experience as a classroom teacher, Kate brings a practical, educator-informed perspective to her work in supporting instructional success.
Her expertise includes guiding educators in effective technology integration, with a focus on 1:1 device implementations and learning management system (LMS) integrations. She works to ensure that digital tools, partnered with high-quality instructional materials, are leveraged thoughtfully and strategically to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes.
