Julie Richardson, M.S. Ed.

Julie Richardson brings more than 20 years of educational experience and a master’s degree in educational technology to her role as Principal Content Designer for the NWEA Division of HMH. Prior to joining NWEA/HMH, Julie was a high school English Language Arts and Journalism teacher who worked primarily with multilingual learners. Under Julie's tenure as advisor for the high school newspaper, her students won a coveted L.A. Times award for news writing. Since joining NWEA/HMH, Julie has worked extensively on assessments and curriculum. She also enjoys writing blogs and developing other resources that bring the latest in literacy research to educators. Julie currently lives and works in Portland, Oregon where she enjoys many outdoor activities but perhaps feels most content cruising down a river on a standup paddle board.
