Daisy Salazar-Garza is Director of Multilingual Learner Enablement at HMH, where she leads enterprise strategy to integrate research-based multilingual learner best practices across curriculum development, instructional design, and educational publishing. A former bilingual educator, school leader, and curriculum designer with more than 20 years of experience, Daisy has dedicated her career to creating equitable learning opportunities that empower multilingual learners to thrive. As a multilingual learner, first-generation college graduate, and daughter of Mexican immigrant parents from Zacatecas, she brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. Daisy has served students and educators in Philadelphia, New York City, Los Angeles, and across the country as a teacher, principal, instructional coach, and educational consultant, leading initiatives that significantly improved literacy and math achievement as well as multilingual learner outcomes. She holds masters degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Bank Street Graduate School of Education and is currently pursuing a doctorate in education at Claremont Graduate University. Through her leadership, Daisy partners with educators, researchers, and product development teams to transform multilingual learner research into high-impact instructional practices and innovative curriculum solutions that improve educational outcomes for students while advancing equitable access to rigorous, high-quality learning experiences nationwide.
