Supporting Our Most Challenged Learners: How Districts Are Scaling and Sustaining MTSS Practices for Success

In this edWebinar, join Dr. Bonnie Cochran, Sr. Director of Academic Planning and Analytics with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and Nikki La Londe, Director of Professional Learning for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, to hear how the need for intensive intervention is growing. They explore ideas to rethink and reevaluate district curriculum and professional development plans to ensure all students are being reached. Research has shown more students today require intensive intervention on essential skills. Join these experts to share and discuss district goals and systems to assess, plan, deliver, and monitor practices to address the barriers to a successful implementation of a Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 intervention program. They address the following questions:

  • What do we know about the needs of our most challenged learners?
  • What does the research say about effective interventions?
  • What other classroom and learning supports are necessary for student success?
  • How can we allocate resources to ensure interventions occur on a regular and frequent basis?
  • How can we support teachers and leaders in their roles?
  • How can we implement, monitor, adjust, and evaluate our systems to ensure the success of Tier 3 students?
  • What are some specific examples of schools or districts that are effectively supporting Tier 3 students?

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to K-12 teachers and school and district leaders.
