Teresa is a seasoned educator with over 30 years’ experience teaching grades K-6. She currently teaches 4th grade and serves as the grade level lead teacher in her school in Shelbyville, Indiana. Throughout her education career, she has also had the opportunity to lead the Indiana State Teachers Association as President from 2013-2019, serve as Great Lakes Center for Education Research and Practice chair from 2016-18, and support fellow educators as an HMH Teacher Contributor. Teresa holds a bachelor’s degree from Taylor University and a master’s degree from Olivet Nazarene University. When she isn’t teaching, Teresa enjoys spending time with her family as well as reading and walking in nature.
