Dr. Sybilla Beckmann

Sybilla Beckmann is Professor of Mathematics at the University of Georgia and co-author of two IES Practice Guides: Improving Mathematical Problem Solving in Grades 4–8 and Assisting Students Struggling With Mathematics: Response to Intervention (RtI) for Elementary and Middle Schools. Dr. Beckmann’s current focus includes the mathematical education of teachers and mathematics content for students at all levels. She has worked on the development of several state mathematics standards, and designed the scope and sequence for the MATH 180 curriculum.
