Dr. Ricardo Otheguy
Dr. Ricardo Otheguy is Professor of Linguistics at the City University of New York’s Graduate Center. He is also director of the Research Institute for the Study of Languages in Urban Society (RISLUS) and co-editor of the research journal Spanish in Context. An author of ¡Avancemos!, he has extensive experience with school-based research and has written on topics related to Spanish grammar, bilingual education, and Spanish in the United States. His work has been supported by private and government foundations, including the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and the National Science Foundation. Dr. Otheguy received his PhD in Linguistics from the City University of New York.
