Dr. Nate Carman

Superintendent, San Benito CISD

Dr. Nate Carman assumed the role of Superintendent of Schools for San Benito CISD in September 2017. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Ft. Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. To obtain his master’s degree, Dr. Carman ventured to Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas. His doctorate in educational administration is from the University of North Texas in Denton.

Changing a Curriculum to Prioritize Rigor, Relevance, and Blended Learning

The rigor levels of student learning were lower than what this school was striving for, so they addressed the issue in part by infusing purposeful technology into the curriculum.
