Garth Harries

Prior to joining HMH, Mr. Harries was Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of New Haven Public Schools, and the architect of the New Haven School Change, a nationally recognized school reform initiative which raised graduation rates by almost 20 percentage points. He also served as the senior leader at the New York City Department of Education responsible for the successful creation of over 350 new district and charter schools and the re-design of special education services.
