Dr. Deborah Ball

Dr. Deborah Ball is the Dean of the School of Education at the University of Michigan and was appointed by President Obama to serve on the National Science Foundation Board. Dr. Ball is one of the nation’s foremost voices on building teacher effectiveness and the founder of TeachingWorks—an organization that aims to transform how teachers are prepared and supported. Dr. Ball has helped to embed TeachingWorks’ High Leverage Teaching Practices into every MATH 180 lesson and has served as the lead advisor on teacher-facilitated instruction, support, and all teacher materials.
