Alexandra Bates believes that educators have the responsibility to ensure that students are empowered to achieve at the highest levels regardless of the obstacles. In the field for 17 years, she’s become recognized as a collaborative and innovative leader who knows how to make a tremendous impact on student achievement by facilitating data-driven professional development and increasing the visibility, utilization, and analysis of student data in all content areas. She’s led double digit gains for the schools she served.
In recognition of the tireless work her and her team has produced, she was selected as Fulton County Schools Principal of the Year in 2016. She is grateful and humbled by the sacrifice, dedication, and excellence her staff brings to Westlake’s students each day.
She attended Boston College, Regent University, and Columbia University where she was identified as an exceptional educator by the Teachers College and Teach For America (TFA).
