Evidence-Based and Proven Effective

With over 20 years of evidence and efficacy, System 44 and READ 180 Universal are backed by more research and documentation than any other reading intervention program.

Recognized by ESSA, CASE, and What Works Clearinghouse

Over 50 research studies have been conducted on READ 180 Universal across the US demonstrating statistically positive outcomes with students of diverse backgrounds, including English learners, students with disabilities, economically disadvantaged students, and students of various ethnicities.

As one of the most well-researched literacy intervention programs on the market, READ 180 Universal has been validated by numerous independent studies (Baye et al., 2016; Herrera et al., 2016), federal What Works Clearinghouse reports, and external evaluation sites. Evidence for ESSA, a site managed by researchers from the Center for Research and Reform in Education (CRRE) at Johns Hopkins University School of Education, has categorized READ 180 Universal as a program demonstrating Strong evidence – the highest ESSA rating.
