    Districts are reporting that when students log in to iRead they see a black screen and are unable to move forward in the program. HMH is aware of the issue and investigating the potential causes.  See the enclosed document for the recommended workarounds for different browsers.

    All iRead users should download the iRead App update from the Apple App Store. The update contains the HTML5 version of iRead. See the PDF for more information.

    As of August, 2019, HMH programs are no longer compatible with iPad 2s. Please use an iPad 4 or later with HMH programs and apps.

    Important Notice for Teachers Using the eBook Library or the Interactive Teaching System

    A new version of the eReader (used in the Interactive Teaching System and the READ 180 and System 44 eBook Libraries) is now live. The new version will feature an updated interface; however, it will not carry over previously saved notes and highlights. Teachers who have notes and highlights in their eReader books should save them in Word documents prior to the upgrade.

    Latest Updates Regarding HMH Programs That Use Flash

    The HTML5 versions of iRead and the Interactive Teaching System (ITS) are now available. 

    iRead  and the ITS join the HTML5 versions of the Student Achievement Manager (SAM), System 44 Next Generation, READ 180 Universal, Do The MathEnglish 3D, Reading InventoryMath InventoryPhonics Inventory, Reading Counts! and the Next Generation Dashboards.

    Chrome OS v.69 and later will require students and teachers to click Allow whenever logging in to Flash-based programs including READ 180 Next Generation, MATH 180iREADFASTT Math, and SAM.

    Important Notice for All Users Running SAM on Chrome

    Chrome's new version, Chrome 76, will disable Flash by default. This will create issues with SAM-based programs still using Flash. See the notice for more information and remedy.

    A reminder that districts and schools that purchased a subscription license after July 1, 2019 must accept the Terms and Conditions at the first administrator login, or all teachers and administrators will be blocked from using the software.

    Batch Printing Now Available in HMH Teacher Central and HMH Leader Central

    Teachers and administrators may now print reports in HMH Teacher Central and HMH Leader Central across all classes and for all students in a class, and across all classes in a school.

  • Important Notice for Teachers and Administrators Using READ 180 Next Generation & System 44 Next Generation on Chromebooks
    Important Notice for Teachers and Administrators Using READ 180 Next Generation & System 44 Next Generation on Chromebooks

    Students using READ 180 or System 44 Next Generation on Chromebooks and desktops using Chrome OS 60 or later and connected to a locally-installed district or school server will be unable to move past the microphone check or record activities in these programs. Contact the Help Desk at 1-800-283-5974 if your students are stuck in the program as a result of this bug. (Note that Chromebooks using earlier versions of Chrome OS are not affected.)

    HMH is working on a solution to this issue and will release an update as soon as it is available.
