October 8: This session will focus on the Crosscutting Concepts (CCC) of the NGSS with an emphasis on systems and system models.
Crosscutting Concepts—one of the NGSS' three dimensions—play a key role in helping students to recognize connections within the science world and across other content areas and concepts. Students learn by observing the world around them. The next step is to relate that background knowledge to new learning, a powerful skill that will help sharpen their abilities to think critically and solve problems!
We hope that you'll be able to join us on this deep dive into the CCC.
